Enterprise Ireland launched a €10M International start up fund which will target investor ready overseas entrepreneurs to start their business in Ireland over the next 3 years. The details are summarised as follows:
The fund will be focused on the Irish Diaspora, International expats, the new Diaspora and repeat/serial entrepreneurs.
Key geographies include North America, UK, Europe and Australia
Target sectors include Internet, Games, Cloud Computing, Medtech and Financial Services sector.
All projects must meet standard HPSU criteria - innovative product/service - 10+ jobs and €1m exports by Year 3.
The fund will target investor ready projects seeking between €200K and €500k investment from Enterprise Ireland with visibility on balance of project funding.
Promoter must be willing to headquarter business in Ireland with majority of leadership team and key functions based in Ireland.
Enterprise Ireland will proactively promote the fund through traditional & social media, EI’s overseas network and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) embassy network
