Westmeath County Enterprise Board is delighted to announce the 2008 opening of the Tech Check Audit programme for businesses in Westmeath.
Tech Check’ is a national initiative, offered through the County and City Enterprise Boards, which offers a highly subsidised technology check-up to small businesses to help them identify ways to boost their productivity and profitability through the better use of technology.
Each assignment will begin with an assessment of the client’s current business and technical capacity. Based on this assessment, the IT Consultant will identify the key strengths, weaknesses and, more importantly, the opportunities relating to the client’s use of technology e.g. use of existing technologies, security and maintenance, software, supply and purchasing facilities, marketing and sales technology and HR IT skills.
A report is then issued providing the small business owner with a rating on their use of technology and practical actions to take.
Christine Charlton CEO of Westmeath County Enterprise Board in announcing the programme details for 2008 said ‘the Tech Check process will provide businesses with a strategy for dealing with identified ICT priorities, which will require the IT consultants input on the opportunities available to business through better use of existing technical resources or by acquiring and using new technologies’.
Tech Check is open to ALL small businesses in County Westmeath, providing they have less than 50 employees. A ‘Tech Check’ costs €150 for which an experienced, independent IT Consultant will spend a full working day, possibly spread over a couple of visits, working with the business.
