The Aim of the Programme 'Practical HRM for the tough economy' is to address the workplace legal obligations of employers, implement 'best practice' human resource managemant and to educate employers on how to implementchange in existing tough economy. Participants will receive helpful handouts and templates that they can use in their business immediately. Participants will receive electronic letter/policy templates and contracts with staff handbook for all staff members.
Step 1 Each participant is issued with electronic HR Audit questionnaire to complete and return.How to legally terminate employment-redundancy,discipline / dismissal procedure and incapacity / illness. Varying employment terms e.g. reducing pay, reducing working hours,short time / lay off, reducing overtime premiums etc. dealing with claims from disgrutled employees.
Step 2 Each participant attends a 4 hour open training session. Areas covered include HR Audit, HR Compliance, understanding employer responsibilities etc.
Step 3 Trainer produces and issues draft contract and employee Handbook template for their business.
Step 4 The participant reviews templates and provides trainer with individual contract details for staff members.
Step 5 Each participant attends a 1.5 hour private session with trainer.Areas covered include agreeing final contract and employee handbook template, review individual employee entitlements etc.
Step 6 Trainer produces and issues the participant with draft electronic versions of individual contracts.
Step 7 Each participant can attend a further 1.5 hour private session with trainer. Areas covered include agreeing final individual contracts, understanding employee entitlements etc. As each small business has its own unique requirement, the training services and workshops are, therefore, customized to suit each situation and the most appropriate approach is worked out in detail at the outset.
