New Funding Initiatives from Enterprise Ireland

Announcement of Job Expansion Fund & Going Global Fund is to assist Enterprise Ireland client companies achieve enhanced growth profiles through increased employment and new markets.

1) For Information – Job Expansion Fund

The aim of the competitive ' Job Expansion Fund ' is to assist Enterprise Ireland client companies achieve enhanced growth profiles through increased employment.  The fund provides grant support up to a maximum of €150,000 towards the recruitment of new employees.  

Eligibility 

Companies are eligible to apply for the Job Expansion Fund if they:

  • are a Small to Medium Sized Enterprise (SME)
  • are a manufacturing and/or a high growth potential traded services company
  • have 10 or more full time employees at the time of application
  • have been trading for at least 2 years

Additional Criteria:

  • Companies must be looking to recruit a minimum of 3 new employees per application
  • The new jobs must not result in the displacement of existing jobs
  • There must be a minimum increase of €350,000 in turnover over the next two years

What is the maximum funding available?

A company can obtain a maximum grant support of €150,000 and the support rate per job will vary up to a maximum of €15,000.

What are the call close dates? 

The first call close date in 2011 is the 30th June.  There will be monthly call for proposals. 

How do companies apply? 

Applicants must complete the 'Job Expansion Fund' business plan application form and submit the completed application form together with the most recent audited and/or management accounts to csujobexpansion@enterprise-ireland.com 

Please note that approval by Enterprise Ireland of any grant sought in this application shall be subject to Enterprise Ireland being satisfied:

a. of the merits of providing grant support to the activity set out in the application

b. that the approval is in accordance with Enterprise Ireland policy

c. that the approval is in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements

d. that Enterprise Ireland has sufficient available funds

 

 

2) For Information – Going Global Fund

Overview of the 'Going Global Fund’

 

The aim of the competitive ' Going Global Fund ' is to assist domestically focused companies explore and validate market opportunity in a new market or for those introducing a new service/product to an existing market 

Eligibility

 

Companies are eligible to apply for the Going Global Fund if they:

  • engage in an eligible service activity or manufacture in the Republic of Ireland and,
  • have 10 employees and/or annual turnover > €1m.

Additional Criteria:

  • Only companies who have received less than €50k in funding from Enterprise Ireland in the last 5 years can apply

What is the maximum funding available?

The maximum support is €25,000 grant.  The maximum support rate is 50% of all eligible costs. Eligible costs include wages/salaries; consultancy costs; travel and subsistence in addition to overhead costs. Please note promoter salaries are in-eligible, overheads are at 30% and Consultancy rates €900/day maximum.

 

What are the call close dates?

 

There will be 2 calls in 2011 for Going Global – the first call close date is 20th June and the second on 3rd October.  

 

How do companies apply?

 

Applicants must complete the 'Going Global Fund' business plan application form and submit the completed application form together with the most recent audited and/or management accounts to going.global@enterprise-ireland.com
