
Funding is now available for private sector SME's during 2010 to assist them to develop a planned and systematic approach to work life balance at enterprise level.
The National Framework Committee for Work Life Balance provides support to SME's interested in exploring alternative working arrangements for their employees in response to deteriorating economic conditions. Under the consultancy scheme, applications can be made for assistance to cover up to 5 days consultancy support.
The support provided cover:
advice on developing a work life balance policy/enhancing existing policies.
advice on implementing work life balance arrangements on a partnership basis;and/or
training for management and employees in designing and operating such arrangements.
The scheme is managed by the Equality Authority on behalf of the National Framework Committee for Work Life Balance and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Further information can be found on www.worklifebalance.ie
