The aim of Enterprise Week is to promote a spirit of entrepreneurship. Events are aimed at people interested in setting up their own business, business owners and managers. These range from 'setting up a shop on Ebay' to 'Meet the Business Advisor' to 'Grow Your Business' events and are designed to offer support and prompt thought.
Indigenous small businesses are the vital life blood for the local Westmeath and Midlands economy. Guest speaker at the Enterprise week launch, Mr Jim Power, Chief Economist with Friends First, will be using his crystal ball to offer his suggestions on what the economic environment may be like for small stakeholders in the coming year and how small business can weather the storm.
Enterprise week will be rounded off with the annual Westmeath County Enterprise Awards. This annual event gives us a chance to applaud the achievements of our small business sector. It gives an opportunity to acknowledge their valuable contribution not only to the economy but also to local communities.
Westmeath County Enterprise Board provides a range of services for new and existing small business in the County including business skills training, Start Your Own business training, mentoring and selective financial interventions.
Events are open to those thinking of starting up in business or those with existing business and we would be delighted to see large attendances at events.
